Playing any instrument is hard....nothing in life is easy, or we'd all be playing something. You learned how to read in school, playing music is no different, it's just doing the same thing day after day over and over again, you need a lot of patience and a desire to want to play. There is a way that you can play that isn't too hard and that's just playing a few chords, maybe about ten chords would give you enough chords to be able to play hundreds of songs, it will take about three months to get the callouses that you'll need on your fingers to be able to play without pain. In my opinion electric is no different to play then acoustic, other then be easier on the ears of those around you while your learning to play, nothings worse then listening to someone practice on electric guitar, you have to know how to play them in order for it to sound good. Good luck, why not learn to play, it's a great hobby, and I promise, you'll never be bored !!!!!!!!

Basic guitar is the same on electric/acoustic. you have to be aware that it will hurt your left hand fingertips for a while, and you cannot have long, pretty nails on your left hand. If you are just starting, it's probably better to go for an acoustic at first 9or even an electro acoustic) until you are sure that it's what you want to do and are happy with it. Then you can decide whether an electric is for you or not. Of course, it's more expensive buying electric co you have to buy an amp as well. Hope this helps. There is a range of guitars called Daisy Rock designed for girls

For a girl I feel like it's easier to start on the electric. Thinner neck isn't so straining on your wrists. I started playing guitar when I was 13/14, and it took me a few years to really be a decent player. But it's different with individuals. I've met some people who have played for a few years and sound amazing, while others I've known have played for 30 years and sound poorly. It just depends on how much time you want to invest, and how badly you want to learn.
Good luck.:)

Depends on the person. But heck, if *I* can play the guitar, ANY idiot can!

You can start on electric, but you will develop better finger strength and callouses by starting on acoustic.

Its light, made from the finest Indonesian particleboard and I think that helps to achieve its big bass sound. It reminds me of my first amp which was a blackface Vibro-Champ I had as a kid in the '60s. Its also very quiet unlike the Frontman 25R. I love to use it with my Line 6 POD 2.3 which really opens up what this amp can do and the Frontman adds a little more grunge and snarl when the overdrive is turned on as well. I also like to run it in stereo with my little Marshall MS-2. The combined sound is huge. I think I hear the cops knocking on my door now, gotta go.

Wow! This is the best BIG little amp ever. It pours out the sound and reproduces every lick with amazing clarity. The bass is incredible for an amp this small. You will not believe how this little guy sounds. The construction is top notch. It is sturdy, well built, and just the right size for some pick up tunes. Do not pass this one up. Dollar for dollar it is the best amp for your electric guitar.

The amplifier far exceeded my expectations. The sound that it produces is outstanding. It is much better than my $200 amplifier which is much bigger and heavier. The overdrive button is amazing. This 10 lb. product will be very mobile and when considered with the quality of the sound, I will likely never use my larger, more powerful and more expensive amplifier. I could not be more pleased with my purchase.

Small, light (less weight than, say, an industrial lunchbox computer), fairly loud for its size, built like the proverbial tank, no unwanted extras. And it's cheap! (Sixty at my local GC.) It has a very nice clean sound, which you can dirty up a bit via the built-in overdrive (there's a button and a gain dial). I especially like that, unlike many competing products, this amp is free from the usual multitude of built-in effects. My view is, if I need something, I'll hook up a pedal; good clean sound is all I need from a "bedroom" amp -- and I don't want to pay for what I don't need; from that standpoint the 10G looks ideal. This thing is good for practice and no-drums creative sessions with friends. Five stars.
